ThreadWeave is an open-source organizational memory system. It connects to the tools your organization already uses — email, chat, documents — and passively builds a searchable memory of the knowledge flowing through them. No forms to fill in. No wiki to maintain. No cloud dependency.
It runs on your own hardware, on-premises. Your data never leaves. There is no vendor who can change their pricing model and hold your organizational memory hostage.
NASA lost the ability to rebuild the Saturn V rocket. Not because the blueprints vanished — they had every page, meticulously preserved. The problem was that the blueprints showed what to build, but not how. The knowledge lived in the engineers who built it. When they retired, it was gone.
Every organization has a Lars — the person who's been there since before the merger, who knows why the Stockholm office uses a slightly different process from Copenhagen, who was in the room in 2008 when the big client almost walked. Then Lars retires, and the people replacing him don't know what he knew.

ThreadWeave wraps MemPalace, the highest-scoring open-source AI memory system. The architecture has four layers:
Connectors — Plug into Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Read email, chat, and documents passively. No one changes how they work.
Detection engine — A regex classifier (always active) plus an optional LLM classifier determines whether each piece of content is worth saving as organizational knowledge. Decisions, answers, and explanations get saved. Chat, newsletters, and system notifications get filtered out.
MemPalace — Hybrid semantic + keyword search, knowledge graph with temporal memory, and a palace/wings/rooms architecture that mirrors how organizations actually work.
Confidentiality — Seven sensitivity levels, access enforcement at search time, audit trail for every access to confidential content. PII detection gates the ingestion pipeline.

ThreadWeave is MIT-licensed. Anyone can use, modify, and distribute the code. Organizational memory is infrastructure — it shouldn't belong to a vendor.
